Lindsey Ferrari
Partner
Lindsey
is a partner in Wilkinson Ferrari & Co. and is head of the
agency’s transportation communications practice group. She
has served in strategic roles on a variety of public agency
projects to help project owners and government agencies
understand and respond to the needs and perspectives of
their publics. Lindsey believes that a public agency can be
effective only when it takes the time and effort to seek
accurate and representative feedback from the publics it
serves.
Lindsey served in the unique role of director of
communications for the Utah Department of Transportation’s
Interstate 15 Reconstruction Project from 1996 to 2001. In
that role, she worked as a liaison between UDOT and the Utah
State Legislature, local governments, state agencies, the
media and business organizations to build relationships and
communicate important issues on behalf of UDOT. She also
provided Department oversite for the Wasatch Constructors
Public Information Team.
Other projects have included managing public relations
efforts for SLC Rail Constructors, the design-build
contractor for the Utah Transit Authority’s TRAX 4th South
Project; public involvement consulting on the Utah County
I-15 Interchange Planning Project; development of a UDOT
stakeholder communications plan; and pre-construction
communications planning for Denver’s Southeast Corridor
Project (now called T-Rex).
Lindsey is currently managing the communications issues for
Kennecott Land, a sister company to Kennecott Copper that
was formed to develop the company’s massive land and water
assets on Salt Lake’s west bench. She consults with the
project’s leadership team on communications issues as they
relate to transportation, environmental and economic
development policy. She is also involved in a management
role on other Wilkinson Ferrari & Co. projects including the
Legacy Parkway Project and the Washington Department of
Transportation’s I-405 Project.
